Whether you want a new garden or have a tired garden that needs rejuvenating, Claire will create a design that works for you. Metro Planting also constructs gardens for businesses and provides ongoing maintenance for all clients, as required.
A full range of services are on offer from design-only to complete project management, each of which can be costed individually.
Garden Design and Planting Plans The first stage in creating any great garden is to draw a plan. After an initial phone consultation, Claire will arrange to meet you at the garden under discussion to talk through what you require. Her design ideas come from looking at the space available, the style of your house or business, your lifestyle and from talking to you about your likes and dislikes.
From here, Claire will provide overhead and perspective drawings of a design that reflects your desires. At this stage, you can either choose to commission Claire to bring the design to life or purchase the drawings with no further commitment.
What’s involved? Each garden Claire creates is unique. There a five basic steps to creating your perfect space.

Initial appointment At the initial consultation, Claire will talk to you about your requirements, your likes and dislikes, your preferred style and the budget for the work.

Survey and analysis Next, she will survey the site, taking measurements and checking the soil. She’ll discuss access to the garden and the construction of any hard landscaping you have requested.

Design plan After listening to your requirements, Claire will draw a plan of the garden so that you can visualise how the garden will look when it is completed.

Planting plan In addition to the design plan, which gives you the overall layout of the garden, Claire will also create a planting plan which lists the type and number of plants that the design requires.

Hard landscaping and Construction If the garden design includes hard landscaping, Claire can personally recommend Landscape Innovations whom she has worked with on several occasions. If you would prefer to use your own landscapers.
Pricing and Estimates
As each garden is unique, costs will vary from one garden to the next. However, before you agree to any work on your premises, Claire will provide a full written breakdown of all the items you will be charged for.
